My Trip to Apple Park and Apple Campus in Cupertino

One of my cousins is an Architecture student. When we were spending a weekend together, I guess in the year 2017. He made a prank attempt saying, hey matt, did you hear about a spaceship landed in Cupertino? He almost got me. But I soon came to sense and found that he was speaking about Apple Headquarters. He visited the place and shared his view about it. More than half of my gadgets are Apple products. Visiting its headquarters does excite me for sure. Since that moment, I was trying to figure out how to schedule a tour of Apple Park in my itinerary.

The reason behind not scheduling a separate tour to Apple Park is because the public cannot enter the premises. Just like the Apple product provides security, the premise has its security measures. It is exclusive only to Apple employees. So visiting Apple Park alone is not a good idea. Not sure why they limited entry into the building for visitors from the beginning of 2019.

Apple Park has a theatre named Steve Jobs Theatre. This place is where Apple products get launched. Only Press people are allowed to visit.

So, I decided to make a trip to cover up the entire Silicon Valley, where you can see Google Campus, Facebook Campus, Computer History Museum, Apple Campus in 1 Infinite Loop, and also the Visitor center in Apple Park.

Apple Park Visitor Center

I visited 1 Infinite Loop first, it is where early Apple products were developed and sold. I got to visit only the store there. There are some Apple products on display which we can buy there and others. From there, it is just a ten-minute drive to the Apple Park headquarters campus.

The general public is allowed entry to the Visitor Center of the Apple Park. I thought the visitor center is a part of the Circular Spaceship Apple building. But, to my disappointment, the Visitor Center is located opposite the circular building!

The Visitor Center is just an apple store. There were so many gift items like Apple Shirts, bags, caps, and so on. The items are pricey. You can see all the products available in the store. There are several accessories also available. If you are looking for customer support, you will be disappointed. You can buy Apple products here. No repairs are handled here if you need your device fixed.

Apple Park Visitor Cafeteria

You people know that I am a foodie. So, I got excited to see a Cafeteria there. I entered to have a coffee. There was a Menu on the iPad, it is an obvious thing. I could see some refreshing natural herb Teas listed on it. I ordered a Jasmine Tea, instead of a coffee. I have had Jasmine tea several times before, and it tasted good here. My friend said that coffee is great here. There are several snacks available. I got a veggie sandwich, which tasted good.

Apple Park Augmented Reality

If you still wish to take a peek at Apple Park. The AR tour in the Visitor center facilitates an Augmented Reality into the building through iPad. I think you should never miss it. I got to know how environmentally friendly the building is through the AR video.

Apple Park Rooftop

Without taking any pictures in front of the Spaceship, I thought it was a disappointment. But on the rooftop, you get to see the spaceship building. You can take a picture there with the Apple Headquarters in the background.

You can find an interesting construct on the staircase to the Rooftop. It will make you smile for sure. Jony Ive must be the designer of the Staircase. Haha.

Things to Remember before Visiting Apple Park:

  1. Bring a Drone along. You can get to see the Aerial view. But still, the best view will be from the Air. Because the premise is as big as a spaceship accommodating 12000 people at a time.
  2. If you are looking for an additional offer to buy the products from the Apple Visitor center, you will be disappointed.
  3. If you are visiting the place for an Architectural view, you cannot learn much. But Augmented Reality shown here can give you a closer look.
  4. Do not make an exclusive trip to Apple Park. Make it a part of your itinerary.

If you are more serious about checking the spaceship building, there are only two options, either become a press person or become an employee and work for Apple.
