Travel has always been the best part of my life. Being a traveler for living, meeting new people, and getting astonished by nature’s beauty has become my routine.
I am Matt Harris; I have traveled to a lot of places and would love to share my experience to give insights about the place.
If you love nature and would like to see waterfalls, beaches, volcanoes, temples, restaurants, and bars, Bali would be the right choice. And to- add on all of these beauties of nature are packed in a beautiful island.
I made a well-planned trip to Bali. The island is so huge, that you might miss out on some of the best sights without a proper plan, I stayed in Seminyak for two days and the next day I traveled to few places and returned home.
The first point about Bali is that most of the shops and boutiques accept only cash payment. You need to have Indonesian currency with you. There were a lot of money exchange centers on my way. I was looking for an authorized place to exchange my money.
Bali is one of the most attractive places in the world. And thus always crowded. But I was lucky enough to visit Bali in September. It would have been very difficult to find accommodation and transport in the summer crowd.
I chose to download the taxi apps, those were helpful. And cost-effective too.
I went to the accommodation and made preparations for the day’s travel. My first visit was to Sisterfields, a breakfast stop. I had good food to speed up my journey. I, being an art lover, I paid a visit to the Nyaman gallery. There were a lot of arts on display to enjoy.
Most of them were from the local people and thus reflected life in Bali. Next, I headed towards the beach. Seminyak beach is less crowded compared to the other beaches in Bali. Surfing and swimming were allowed here. I enjoyed about three hours on the beach. There were small shops selling drinks that complement the hot sun and cold waves.
I had to pick some lunch; I visited a restaurant closer to the beach. I had delicious Indonesian food. The people here are so much attached to the local language. But they do understand English and are so kind as to tourists.
I booked a ride on my app to Pura Petitenget, one of the most famous sea temples in Bali. I was admiring the architecture and the customs the people were following.
I had a plan to go on a horseback riding during the sunset. I was able to do it. I was a little late but didn’t miss the view though. The horse riding was at Canggu. Once done with it, I planned to spend the night at Canggu.
The next day, I went to one of the best restaurants at Canggu, Shady shack.
I had some homemade cake and coffee to go. My next stop was at one of the spas at Canggu. I had an amazing massage service at Bali. I still wish I could go back to Canggu, just for the massage alone.
I was lucky enough to travel to Canggu on a Sunday. The Sunday market was the best place during the afternoon. There were a lot of food stalls, of course, organic food. And live artists were performing on stage. It had a lot of stalls selling fashion products for men and women.
During the sunset, I wanted to travel to the sea temple at Canggu. It was a thirty-minute ride from the place and had the most beautiful sunset spot. This temple was the most sacred one in Bali. And there is the belief that this temple is protecting Bali from evil from the sea.
My day ended at Finn’s beach club. It had a beautiful pool, trampoline, and bowling for one to enjoy. It was an exhaustive day.
The next day, I booked a forty-five minutes ride to a Waterpark at Bali – Waterbom Bali. I had made a booking for a visit. This part of the journey was for the adrenaline rush. The one ride in the water park, that I would remember for a lifetime is – The Climax. It was the steepest slide /I have ever seen.
I spent the last day at Ubud. It was an hour’s drive from Canggu. I visited the waterfalls at Ubud. Nature’s beauty was appearing in its best form at Bali. Then I took a walk towards the sacred monkey forest. The place had three temples and on the way, one can see a lot of monkeys.
Tourist guides are in and around for our safety, making the trip more enjoyable. It took almost the entire day to visit these temples. I returned to my accommodation. I still had a lot of places to be explored in Bali. I would dedicate another trip to explore the rest of the island.
