As a lover of exploring new places and meeting new people, I’ve had the pleasure of living in Los Angeles for the past few years while studying. Today, I want to share with you the top things to do in 2023 in this incredible city that I’ve come to call home!
First up on my list is Griffith Observatory. This iconic Los Angeles landmark offers breathtaking views of the city, as well as a chance to learn about astronomy and space science. One of my favorite memories with my family was coming here at night and watching the stars twinkle above us. It was a surreal experience that I will never forget.
Next on my list is the Getty Center. This art museum is home to an extensive collection of European and American art, along with beautiful gardens and stunning architecture. It’s a great place to spend the day, especially if you’re an art lover like me. I particularly loved exploring the galleries and discovering new artists that I had never heard of before.
No trip to Los Angeles would be complete without a visit to the Santa Monica Pier. This iconic landmark is home to an amusement park, aquarium, and numerous restaurants and shops. My family and I loved walking along the boardwalk and watching street performers, before indulging in some delicious seafood at one of the pier’s restaurants.
If you’re a fan of movies and TV shows, you’ll definitely want to check out Universal Studios Hollywood. This theme park is home to some of the most thrilling rides and attractions, all based on your favorite movies and TV shows. I recently took my little sister here and seeing the joy and excitement on her face was truly priceless.
Last but not least, I recommend checking out the street art scene in Los Angeles. From murals to graffiti, this city is filled with incredible works of art that showcase the unique culture and creativity of the people who live here. One of my favorite areas to explore is the Arts District, where you can find some of the most colorful and eye-catching murals in the city.
