Guide to Universal Studios Hollywood

To travel is to explore. And an opportunity to explore always leads to learning.

I am passionate about places, people, and food. This time I decided to head to Universal Studios Hollywood for the day. Universal Studios Hollywood is a film studio and has theme parks to enjoy.

I arrived at the entrance of Universal Studios Hollywood at nine in the morning. The main gate was itself a thirty-minute walk from the ride drop-off point. I reached early; still, there was a long line of the crowd. I visited on a weekday to avoid too much crowd. I had to pass the bag checking counter to the real entrance of the studio.

I made sure the night before that my first ride would at the most famous – Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I took a walk around the mesmerizing road and then went on my first ride at the Universal Studios Hollywood. It was the Forbidden Journey ride over at the Hogwarts Castle; it was a 4D ride. It would be the best gift for any Harry Potter fan because nowhere else in the world you get to see the Dumbledore’s office.

My next stop was to pick up some coffee and some breakfast. Then I went on to the One hour World famous studio tour. One should never miss the chance to sit at the right place in the van for a great view. You get to see the real film city here. And all the creatures in your movies are brought back to life a little closer to you with 4D simulation effects. King Kong, Jurassic Park, and Fast & Furious.

After the ride, I walked over to the Simpsons ride. It was a fun ride and people were enjoying it from the bottom of the heart. This is where I had my lunch, a few burgers to keep me alive for a few more rides. I took some beautiful pictures at this stop.

Then, it was time for some adventurous ride – I chose to visit the Walking Dead haunted house. It was a complete terror for me. I was horrified at every turn. They have designed it based on the series – The Walking Dead. I should warn you – Beware of Zombies!

Despicable Me has been one of my all-time favorite movies. So next I went on to the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. There were a lot of Minions and I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Gru. You are allowed to take pictures with them. Cute!

I went to see the Special effects show. We see a lot of movies and wonder how these creators can create some natural phenomenon artificially. This show depicted a lot of them was so thrilling to watch them bring it all live on stage.

I had some snacks at the stores nearby and a couple of drinks. And I walked to the Famous French Street. This place is to enjoy a peaceful walk and make yourself believe that you have visited Paris as a part of this trip. I took a lot of pictures at this place and made sure to post all of them. Such beautiful backgrounds can never be seen anywhere around.

Then I walked to the Lower Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. Here my first ride was to the Transformers 3D. It was a thrilling and action-packed ride. They were more closely and felt so real.

And then I went on the Revenge of Mummy ride. Of course, it was a jaw-dropping experience. My next stop was the Animal actors show. I love animals and it was cute to watch them perform. I did not spend much time in the show; I had to keep up the promise to visit Waterworld. This was a sixteen minutes show that’s worth the wait for the whole day. It was spectacular and mind-blowing. By the end, it felt like it was the shortest sixteen-minute ever in life.

I did visit almost all the major attractions. The day almost pulled out all sorts of emotions within me. The best part was the thrilling ride and the 4D simulations. For a movie lover, the film city is a treat to the eyes. Make sure to pack a small bag and keep the pace while walking around. It is such a large place for a day. And of course, these attractions don’t let you leave. It was the most memorable experience for me. I have added Universal Studios Hollywood to my revisit list.
