California has a lot to offer when it comes to Airbnbs and VRBOs! Soaking in hot tubs, stargazing huddled up in a warm blankie with your significant other, sipping wine with the finest views, a hug of nature, and a kiss of the sun- all of this and a lot more: California has got it just right.
Although the pandemic has successfully managed to make weekdays look like the weekend, hopefully, things will restore to how they once used to be. In this hope, I have penned down all the fantastic AirBnbs you must check out for your next weekend getaway. I want to thank our sponsor AirBnb for access to theses locations…
San Diego Hobbit House, San Diego
Oh yeah, I am not kidding when I say you can find a hobbit house in San Diego. Not only this, this one appears as though it were a fairytale! A fantastic beautiful round door, thick granite walls, and secluded from the city’s hullabaloo- This is sure to keep you captivated. It is my go-to place for a weekend getaway. The site isn’t so small, but they host only two guests. Once you visit this place, you are highly likely to go here again and again.
Juniper Rose Tiny House, Shasta Valley
This place is ideal for a perfect camping experience in the lap of nature. This tiny Airbnb offers utterly beautiful views. This one was constructed from only recycled materials. Sip on a glass of wine as you immerse in the beauty of the Shasta Valley. Since this one is tiny, it can accommodate only two guests. It would be an excellent place to spend your weekend with your significant other!
Black Inverness- A-Frame, Point Reyes Station
This one is straight out of Pinterest. The gorgeous A-Frame, the stunning cabin, lets you have a moment on the patio, under the sun with the most beautiful views. You are sure to get the best photographs here. It has got two bedrooms and a shared space for the guests. It works well for a group of friends or family. Let loose in the beauty of oaks, bay trees, redwoods, and yes, of course, the Black Inverness.
Pirates of the Caribbean Getaway, Topanga Canyon
Yes, something like this exists. This off-the-grid retreat has got all things, Pirates, fancy décor inspired by, of course, the Pirates, waterfalls, and the Disney vibe. Do any Pirates fan read this? I know I have very conveniently managed to add one more place to the list of places you wish to go to. Duh! Thank me later.
Fairytale Gingerbread House, Geyserville
Quite literally, as the name suggests, this place appears like a gingerbread house. The stained glass windows filter the sunlight before it enters your Airbnb. Beautiful trees envelop it on all fours and leave the visitors feeling divine. Fairytale, right? I told you already.
Joshua Tree Castle, Joshua Tree
Yeah, yeah, this is the one we all saw on HGTV. It is a clever adaptation of the Joshua Tree and a desert castle. Situate in the Desert; this white beauty makes for a perfect weekend getaway. The windows offer the jaw-dropping desert view and manage to keep you captivated for the longest time. (On a side note, I am lately profoundly in love with these tiny houses, they are so enchanting!) Few minutes from the national park, it is an architectural masterpiece.
Water Tower Retreat, Elk, Mendocino County
It is beige, like that beautiful beige! The sloping roof, beige interiors, huddled among the redwoods, you will reach here in slightly more than five minutes from the town of Elk. Now that you are here, you can also explore Mendocino’s historic village.
The Warrington House, Santa Roza
The sunken hot tub here is my most favorite thing among all other favorite things here. Just lounge on the patio, and raise a toast with friends and family. Oh, and this one is not something that popped up just a few years ago; it came into existence back in the 1950s and is relevant and popular to this day. In the distance, you see the beautiful mountains of the Golden State.
Palm Springs Dome House
There are many of this kind, but this one particular is my favorite. Why? Keep reading to discover that. Three beds, 2.5 bathrooms, this super serene retreat is where you have to come with friends and family. Surrounded by Windmills, the massive Desert, beautiful Mountains, Joshua Tree National Park, the retreat sits on a 5-acre hill vista.
CA offers utterly unique vacation places! After the pandemic, as things slowly return to normalcy, the world eagerly looks forward to relaxing vacations and staycations. I am sure if you were looking for one such place, I have given you a hint of your next weekend destination. Happy Journey! Enjoy the weekend.
