I want to make it easier for the tourists, so, based on the tourist spots and nearby burger shops heres a list of the best burger places i’ve found in San Jose.
Mendocino Farms
I like turkey sandwiches. Mendocino Farms has their turkey sandwiches in the top list of the menu, which was not letting me move my eyes to the next item in the menu! When I noticed the people standing in front of me ordering the same, I was sure about ordering the same. My friend, who accompanied me, is a vegan, and he ordered Vegan Banh Mi. He was pretty hungry so he ordered another vegan burger – the Impossible Burger Queen. The reason behind my friend’s appetite was me because I ate half of his burger in the name of tasting it!
First, I should say the quality of the bun. The bun had a different kind of taste to a regular bun, and it is a Brioche Bun. The Bun was melting in my mouth, and it goes amazingly well with the roasted turkey breast and cheese flavor. All the ingredients in the burger were complimenting each other, and it was satiating my taste buds for sure.
The Counter
I heard through a fellow blogger about this hamburger place, I went to order a sandwich for breakfast here, it tasted amazing. During lunch, I visited again for another burger. I liked both the Breakfast Burger and the Counter Burger. The Counter Burger is the burger ranked high in calories, but the whole burger is worth the calories. I have never tasted a yummy beef burger as this place has.
Municipal Rose Garden
Municipal Rose garden is a lovely attraction for tourist, I found only one burger place interesting near the Municipal rose garden.
Sliders Burger
I found a good star rating for this Sliders Burger. I wanted to try this place without fail. I should say the cost of the burger is also another reason to like this place. But, it won my heart taste-wise. I ordered the Ostrich Burger, along with french fries and onion rings. I had tummy full with yummy food for sure.
Nearby Children’s Discovery Museum, a burger place is not available nearby; within 10 minutes of the drive, you can find these restaurants to have a good burger for your lunch:
Main Street Burger
Spicy Chicken Philly and Smoked Bacon Bleu are the items that I tasted on the menu. Both tasted great. The restaurant ambiance was also good. The price was moderate, and I enjoyed having a burger here with my friends.
Fountain Restaurant
There is a separate menu for kids. So after visiting the Children’s museum, driving in, and having a burger with kids is what the kids are going to love. I tasted a veggie burger here and it tasted good.
Very close to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum are the following restaurants that serve some great burgers:
Park Station Hashery
This restaurant has a well-selected menu for burgers. BLT and Turkey chicken were the items I chose to have here. It is worth the walk around the museum and having a burger with good sides here.
Bill’s Cafe-Alameda
All the burgers on the menu tasted good here. I visited this place with a gang of friends and had a nice time dining here. The ambiance and the taste of the burger were excellent.
In-N-out Burger
You can enjoy the combo of burgers, drinks, and fries at a fair price. I ordered a burger having full-calorie enough for a day. The double-Double combo is the name of it. I literally charged up in brunch and started my day tour.

The Habit Burger Grill
If you are at this place, I would suggest you try the Teriyaki Char Burger, and Charburger both are different in flavor and taste from any other burger, and it is worth a try once. Go with a combo for enjoying the burger at the best price.
Another choice for the best burgers around Happy Hollow Park is King’s Burger House. I didn’t get a chance to go there but give them a go if your in the area 🙂
