Travel is the most satisfying experience in life. You get to enjoy various cultures, food, and more. I have been traveling for most of the year. I love blogging about the experience for my readers to rejoice.
I have traveled all over my homeland and also explored other continents. This article is about one of my favorite holiday spot – Tokyo, Japan, Nippon – that’s how the Chinese call it.
This time I decided to stay back for a week in Tokyo. You have to spend this much time to enjoy the richness of the place. It comprises of beautiful architecture that reflects the culture in the most suitable ways.
I booked my stay at a hotel in the middle of the place, making it easier for my travel. I spent day one at Shibuya. Shibuya was the most colorful place I have visited. The city was always crowded with people. Being the first day of my travel, I had a lot of energy for shopping. They had an intersection point with giant neon light, brightly lit up. I had a long walk in the streets of Shibuya and returned home. It was a tiring day.
The next day I visited the Meiji – shrine, filled with Japanese culture. This place was a wonderful treat to my eyes. I made offerings at the main hall, where they had the defied spirits of emperor Meji. And I was lucky enough to witness one of the traditional Shinto weddings. It was a beautiful ceremony that stayed in my heart till date.
And then I took a ride to Shinjuku district, the one with all the tall buildings of the country. I went on to the viewpoint available at one of these buildings – The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, that had observation decks. This spot gave a breathtaking view of the place. I stood there and saw the sunset and came back to the hotel with a broader smile.
On my way back to the hotel, I had dinner at a street shop. The vendor was so kind and so were a lot of people I met in Tokyo. The land, the culture, and the people made me spend a few more days without any hesitation. They made it feel like home.
The next day started with the ride to Lake Ashinoko and the Hakone shrine. I took a ride on the bus and captured a lot of beautiful sights in my way. The lake was formed after a volcanic eruption in the Mount Hakone. My day was brighter enough to catch a sight of Mount Fuji, which would have been impossible on a cloudy day.
I visited the Hakone shrine at the deep dese forest located in the bank of the lake. It was my favorite shrine I have visited on this journey. The spot was filled with endless beauty and added peace to mind and soul.
I have always read about volcanos and wanted to see one in real. The dream came true once I reached Owakudani. The hot springs were bubbling. They also allowed trekking; it would have been the most adventurous thing if I had taken it up.
The next day, I booked a car ride to GORA PARK. It was built on a beautiful landscape with a large fountain, rose garden, and two Greenhouses. This place was all about the views and of course, I got some tasty dishes on my way back. Next, I headed to Hakone’s popular Ryokans. I have always heard about the place and wanted to pay a visit at least once in my lifetime.
They have bathhouses that let you take a dip. And they are free for visitors. The bathhouses comprise of various hot spring pools in the area.
The next day and the last of my travel were allocated to – Tokyo Sky Tree and the SUMIDA Aquarium. The Tokyo sky tree is a 634-meter tall television broadcasting tower and landmark of Tokyo that offers spectacular views of the city from two enclosed observation decks. It’s not just a viewpoint. The topmost floors were dedicated to the observation and the rest of the building was equipped with shops and restaurants. Good food and a good view can always lighten the mood.
The next visit was to the Sumida Aquarium. This aquarium at the Tokyo sky tree has about 10000 sea creatures for you to visit. There were beautiful penguins that were making the sight an amazing one. The aquarium was built in the entire fifth and sixth floor of the large shopping complex. There were a lot of visitors on the day I went. It was a memorable experience, and everyone despite their age was enjoying the place.
Tokyo has been a sweet memory that I revisit in my dreams. It was so hard to leave the place, but I always have reason to visit again. I still have a lot more places to enjoy in Tokyo – the land of rich culture.
